| Hello. I am Remy’s Mom! I’ve been struggling with depression and addiction for a long time. I would say since I was 12 or 13. But this last binge was the worst I’ve been through. In 2020 I decided to start using fentanyl and meth. A year went on, and I was still using. My depression was at its peak, and my boyfriend and I decided to get myself a cat. He was 10 weeks old and just the cutest thing. Unfortunately, about a month or two later, we became homeless and lived in our car. Remy went everywhere with us. He didn’t seem to mind the car as long as his mom and dad were there. We did end up losing the car when we got in an accident in 2021. And at that point, we only lasted till December 2021. Sleeping outside in the cold and having my kitty cuddle me for warmth was heartbreaking. I decided it was finally time to get some help. I’ve been on this recovery journey since then, and I’m trying my best to get clean and stay clean. |
